Florida based engine distributor Motor-Services Hugo Stamp Inc. offered to sponsor this year’s points challenge. The $3500 will be for insurance and year end awards.

Jon Johansen was re-elected as MLBRA president, Travis Otis as VP and Rachel Elward as secretary/treasurer.

For 2008 there will be 5 gasoline and 14 diesel classes with a race for the traditional built wood boats. One carburetor restriction was put in place for gas class C.

Look for the new fiberglass version of the Lorna R being built buy the Alley brothers sporting another Weaver monster motor. There are more than a few new diesel boats that should be running and making their mark on the points.

The end of year banquet will be held in Rockland in September date to be determined.
