Winter Harbor lobsterman, Reggie Knowles, fell on ice during the December 3rd snowstorm, fractured his leg and tore up knee ligaments. The accident, that will put him out of commission for weeks, happened when he had 800 traps in the water. Knowles was in a tough spot. But Knowles reported that four captains got together and in a day took up most of his traps.

The captains were:
Jason Knowles, F/V Tori Kay
Todd Knowles, F/V Scott Kayla
Chris Nelson, F/V Autumn Gale
Phil Torrey, Master Simon

Michael Faulkingham and Larry Smith helped stack the traps on the wharf.

Reggie said it would have been impossible for him to get them up himself. "There is no way to thank the fishermen who pulled together to get me through this. No matter what happens at sea fishermen get together to help," Reggie said.
