In the pages of Commercial Fisheries News 57 boats were reviewed, of those 46 were lobster boats and 52 were Made in Maine!

We, at Plante's, feel Maine has some of the best boat builders in the country. Builders such as Hutchinson Composites, Calvin Beal Jr., Hodgdon Yachts and many more up and down the coast.

Many of the lobster boats were seen on the racing circuit for 2007 showed great results. Lobster boat racing 2008 should prove to be another fantastic year for racing events. Watch for the possibility of a race in Portland.
